The Cleveland Guardians and New York Mets didn't get an opportunity to play on Saturday due to a ton of rain in the New York area. Saturday's game was called off pretty earlier in the day and it was established that they would play a doubleheader on Sunday.

The two start times for Sunday's games are 1:40 and 7:10. The nightcap is the national televised Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN.

Fans can expect a well-pitched doubleheader with a couple of future hall of farmers, a former Cy Young winner, and one of the best rookie pitchers this season all on the mound.

1:40 - Tanner Bibee Vs. Max Scherzer

Game one will feature the probable starting pitchers for Saturday's game. Tanner Bibee and Max Scherzer will each take the mound for their respective teams.

Bibee will be making his fifth start for the Guardians and continues to impress as a rookie. He has an ERA of 3.22, a WHIP of 1.03, and has struck out 22 batters so far this season.

Baseball fans are more than familiar with Scherzer's work at this point in his career. The former Cy Young and World Series winner may not be having the best start to his season, but that doesn't change how much of a menace he is on the mound.

The Guardians will look to do damage to Scherzer who currently has an ERA of 4.88 over six starts.

7:10 - Shane Bieber VS. Justin Verlander

Sunday Night Baseball will feature a heavy-weight pitching matchup between Shane Bieber and Justin Verlander.

Bieber may not be the swing-and-miss strikeout machine that we've seen in the years past, but he's still one of the league's best pitchers when he has everything going.

He ranks in the 23rd percentile in K% and the 34th percentile in Whiff%. This means he'll have to have his best stuff on Sunday night because New York's lineup has the potential to make a pitcher pay.

Verlander missed the first part of the season due to injury and his start Sunday night evening will be just his fourth of the season. The 40-year-old has taken longer than expected to find his groove after the injury posting a 4.76 ERA and the Guardians need to avoid being the team he finally finds himself against.
