Indians Open Up a Six Game Homestand Starting Against Detroit

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Indians are coming off a road trip where they went 5-2 against the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers.

Tonight, they start three game weekend series against the Tigers. This is the beginning of a six game homestand.

The Indians come into tonight's game with a 39-35 record this season.

The Tribe sits nine games behind the Minnesota Twins for first place in the AL Central. The Tigers are in full rebuild mode. They are 26-44 on the season.

Bauer is coming off the best start of the season and maybe even his career. He went nine shutout innings against the Detroit Tigers his last start.
