WATCH: Miguel Cabrera Hilariously Squares Up With Jose Ramirez
Major League Baseball and the Cleveland Guardians say farewell to a future hall of fame at the end of the 2023 season. Miguel Cabrera will hang up his jersey once the season is over and is on his retirement tour around baseball right now.
The Guardians organization honored the all-time great before they played the Detroit Tigers on Sunday afternoon. Gabriel Arias, Brayan Rocchio, Andres Gimenez, and Jose Ramirez presented Cabrera with a customized guitar (because why wouldn't it be a guitar) just before the first pitch.
Miggy shook the hands of all the young players, but when he did something a little bit different when he got to Jose. Cabera jokingly put up his fists as if he wanted to fight Ramirez.
Obviously, this was a callback to when Ramirez punched Tim Anderson to the ground during their brawl a few weeks back.
Ramirez was trying not to crack a smile but everyone else around him couldn't contain their laughter.
The "down goes Anderson" and Jose's knockdown hit clearly will be an event that isn't forgotten about soon.
