Plesac on the mound as the Indians look for their 80th win

The Indians fell to the Tampa Bay Rays last night 4-0.

It was a disappointing loss as the Indians are battling for a wild card spot and are in the still in the division race.

The Indians come into tonight's game with a record of 79-56 on the year.

They are 4.5 games back of the Minnesota Twins for first place in the AL Central. Luckily, the tribe still hold a one game lead over the Tampa Bays Rays.

On the mound for the Indians is right-handed pitcher Zach Plesac.

Plesac comes into the game with a record of 7-4 and a 3.40 ERA.

In his last start, Plesac earned a win against the Kansas City Royals. He went 5.2 innings and gave up 4 hits, 1 run, 1 earned, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.

On the mound for the Tampa Bay Rays is right-handed reliever Diego Castillo. Castillo is 2-8 on the year with a 3.76 ERA.

Castillo will be begin the game as an "opener." The Rays started doing this concept over a year ago and it has given them much success.
