This offseason is certainly going to be an interesting one for the Cleveland Guardians. Terry Francona appears to be calling it a career after almost 20 years of managing. That situation could've become even more complicated if their President of Baseball Operation Chris Antonetti also departed the organization.

Those were the rumors on Thursday following the Boston Red Sox's decision to let general manager Chaim Bloom go. Antonetti quickly became a name that was rumored to be on Boston's list of candidates.

Fans won't have to worry about this though.

Terry Pluto of Cleveland.com reported that Anontetti is happy in Cleveland and values the leadership that stems from owner Paul Dolan. So, there it is. The Guardians apparently won't have to look for another President of Baseball Operations once the season wraps up.

There's still more to this story though.

According to Pluto, Boston has reached out to Antonetti in the past but he's declined to even interview for the job. The Red Sox aren't the only team who have been interested in members of Cleveland front office.

Both Antonetti and Mike Chernoff (Guardians' current General Manager) have been contacted by Boston and even the New York Mets for front-office roles.

Fans can criticize Cleveland's front office all the way for the moves they've made over the last few years. Some of them have not panned out the way anyone wanted with that most recently being Mike Zunino and Josh Bell.

But the fact that big market organizations such as Boston and New York prove how well respected they are around baseball. The fact that Cleveland has someone who wants to be here and has a successful track record should be valued.
