Shohei Ohtani Reveals Who He's Most Excited To Share The Dugout With At MLB All-Star Game, Jose Ramirez
Shohei Ohtani to the Cleveland Guardians confirmed?
Okay, maybe that's a little bit of a stretch. However, the Los Angeles Angels pitcher/hitter did give credit to the Guardians' best players and one of the best players in baseball.
Before the 2023 MLB All-Star Game got underway on Tuesday night, Ohtani was asked who from the American league he was most excited to share the dugout with. It's a fair question to ask. We marvel at what Ohtani can do on the baseball diamond, but who in the league does he get excited about?
Well, the answer to that question is the one and only Jose Ramirez.
Ohtani said that even though the two don't play on the same team during the regular season, they always have great conversations with one another and that Jose is a really funny guy.
Us Guardians fans couldn't agree more Shohei.
Ohtani is currently in the most important season of his career as the Angels must decide what they are going to do with the game's best player. He's slashing .302/.387/.662 with a league-high 32 home runs.
At the same time, Shohei owns a 3.32 ERA and a WHIP of 1.096.
Ramirez made the All-Star team as an infield reserve. The third baseman is slugging .506 with an OPS of .870. He also leads the league with 12 intentional walks.
While a team-up between Ohtani and Ramirez is a pipe dream, it sure would be fun to see!
