The Cleveland Indians picked up a much-needed 5-3 win on the road against the San Francisco Giants, snapping a four-game losing streak.

Here are three takeaways from the win.

1. Josh Tomlin Cruises

The right hander was efficient as ever, working 7.1 innings, only needing to throw 79 pitches.

He allowed three earned runs on six hits, did not issue a walk and had some great defense behind him, especially from third baseman Giovanny Urshela, who was recently called up to fill Jason Kipnis' roster spot while the second baseman is on the Disabled List.

On the contrary, Cleveland's offense made Giants starting pitcher Matt Moore work, as the left hander threw 106 pitches in seven innings. After leading 3-1 through four innings, San Francisco made two errors in the fifth and sixth, giving Cleveland opportunities to take advantage. Those two errors led to two runs, which turned out to be the difference in the game.

2. Lindor Has Come Alive

After a relatively sluggish stretch of play from late-May leading up to the All-Star Break, Francisco Lindor has racked up seven hits in his last two games.

Lindor went 4-for-4 with three doubles on Sunday in Oakland and followed it up with three singles and two RBI in the series opener at San Francisco.

Both of his RBI singles came with two outs.

3. Production from the Bottom of the Lineup

It hasn't been a pretty season for Cleveland's bottom of the lineup, but Monday was a rare exception.

Yan Gomes got the scoring started with a solo shot in the top of the third.

Urshela, who made a big impact with his glove, also delivered at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.

Cleveland looks to build off this much-needed win on Tuesday night in Game 2 of the three-game set, as Mike Clevinger squares off with Ty Blach. First pitch is set for 10:15 pm ET.
