WATCH: Guardians Introduce Manager Stephen Vogt
After what feels like months of searching, the Cleveland Guardians finally found their manager for the future. The team announced on Monday that Stephen Vogt would take over for future Hall of Famer Terry Francona.
On Friday, Vogt appeared as the Guardians' new skipper as the team officially welcomed him to the organization. They held a press conference down at Progressive Field and it was an event that should get all fans excited for the future.

Hiring Vogt has so far seemed like a home run for the Guardians. Former teammates, media, current managers, and even members of Guardians have vocally shared their support and excitement for Vogt and the team.
It's uncommon that sports fans can find agreement and common ground on anything, yet, everyone seems to love this hire for Cleveland.
This has been a long time coming for Vogt. He's a former Big League catcher who played 10 seasons and appeared in two All-Star games. He retired at the end of the 2022 season and immediately shifted to coaching.

Vogt served as the bullpen/quality control with the Seattle Mariners in 2023 and now he's a manager.
While adding Vogt is an exciting time for the organization, it'll still take some time to get used to a new face leading the way. Tito was Cleveland's manager for 11 seasons before he stepped down following the 2023 campaign. It certainly seems like Vogt has all the potential and support to successfully lead the Guardians into the next era of Cleveland baseball.
