The very last player that a pitcher wants to see when there are no outs with the bases loaded is Cleveland Guardians' Jose Ramirez

The best you can hope for is a sacrifice fly that scores a run. A nightmare would be a bases-clearing double. The worst-case scenario would be a grand slam giving Cleveland four runs.

That worst-case scenario was the outcome for Austin Cox on Thursday night as Jose Ramirez ripped his fifth career grand slam and Cleveland's first of the season.

The inning started with a hard-hit, line-drive base knock from Bo Naylor. Then Steven Kwan and Amed Rosario reached on walks. That brought Jose to the plate who rocked a homer into the left-field bullpen.

The line-drive homer had an exit velo of 108.4 and had a distance of 287. Per Baseball Savant, it would've been a home run in 25 of the 30 Major League parks.

This gave the Guardians a 4-0 lead in the third inning giving starting pitcher Logan Allen some nice run support to work with.
