WATCH: Steven Kwan Steals A Hit From Tim Anderson With Incredible Diving Catch
Steven Kwan is no stranger to incredible defensive plays in left field. He had a number of them last season, most memorably in Colorado and in Seattle, which helped him to win a Gold Glove in his rookie season with the Cleveland Guardians.
It's been a while since Kwan flashed some leather in the outfield, but he reminded everyone what he can do on Tuesday night.
Tim Anderson stepped into the batter's box as the leadoff hitter for the White Sox. He pulled a line drive on just the second pitch of the game which looked like trouble off the bat.
That's when Kwan came soaring in and stole the hit with a fantastic tumbling catch.
Watch the play here:
Anderson's line drive had an exit velocity of 101.0 and an xBA of .540. Basically, that should be a hit almost every single time.
What made this catch even better, is just the other day Kwan called out the outfield jokingly saying that it was time for them to make some big plays. I would say that catch certainly counts as one!
