Now two weeks into the Major League Baseball season, the Miami Marlins are celebrating their first win. Though they were the last team to win a game, they might not be the worst.

Bleacher Report has released their updated power rankings and the Marlins are at No. 29, sitting ahead of the last place Chicago White Sox.

Here is what Joel Reuter had to say about the Marlins:

"The Marlins finally won their first game of the season on Sunday with a 10-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Former first-round pick Max Meyer allowed three hits and one earned run over six innings for the first quality start of his career as he looks to get back on track after missing much of 2022 and all of 2023 recovering from Tommy John surgery."

Their first win saw Luis Arraez get back to form with a four-hit game at the top of the lineup, which will be important if they want to get back into competition. Third-baseman Jake Burger has been the team's highlight on offense this season, nearing .900 on-base plus slugging.

Exciting player Jazz Chisholm has been cold at the plate but has made some exciting plays in the field.

Almost as bad as luck as they could have, though, is having back-to-back series against the New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves immediately following their first win. The Marlins could need a couple of wins against two of the best teams in the league to avoid dropping into last place.
