The Miami Marlins are looking to cover innings.

Facing injuries to expected starters Braxton Garrett and Edward Cabrera that will prevent them from being ready for Opening Day, the Marlins have questions about who will step up to take a rotation spot when the team breaks camp.

And lefty reliever Ryan Weathers thinks he's an answer. Acquired from the San Diego Padres last season, he's making his 5th appearance (4th start) of spring, with a 1.32 ERA and 17 strikeouts to only 3 walks in his 13.2 innings pitched.

Here's how the Marlins will line up behind him at home:

2B Luis Arraez
SS Tim Anderson
DH Josh Bell
1B Jake Burger
CF Jazz Chisholm Jr
LF Bryan De La Cruz
RF Avisail Garcia
3B Jon Berti
C Christian Bethancourt

Here's how the St. Louis Cardinals are lining up for the road game in Jupiter's Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium:

CF Nick Siani
1B Paul Goldschmidt
2B Nolan Gorman
3B Nolan Arenado
LF Alec Burleson
C Ivan Herrera
RF Jordan Walker
DH Luken Baker
SS Freddy Fermín

Starting for the Cardinals is veteran Steven Matz, who is 0-1 this spring with a 12.00 ERA. Making his third appearance (second start), he's struck out four and walked none in his three innings.
