NEW YORK - Walk off a hero.

On Wednesday night, the New York Mets beat the New York Yankees in Game 2 of the Subway Series by a score of 4-3 on a Brandon Nimmo walk-off hit in extra innings.

Nimmo took an 0-1 pitch from Yankees reliever Albert Abreu and cranked it off the wall in right field to send everybody home in the bottom of the 10th inning.

"I was able to come through for the boys and I was really happy about that because last night I felt like I let them down," Nimmo said after the game.

The Mets came from behind in this game, trailing 3-1 in the seventh. The team also made a slew of mistakes in the field and on the base paths, but were able to overcome these blips for a crucial victory.

Nimmo, specifically, dropped a fly ball the night before, which led to the go-ahead run for the Yankees. He was also thrown out on the base paths in the bottom of the seventh when the Mets tied the game on Wednesday. But he made up for it with his walk-off hit.

The Mets are now 32-36 on the season after their latest win. They entered play on Wednesday night having lost nine of their last 10 games.
