Mets' Carlos Carrasco's Rehab Start Pushed Back; Here's Why

Find out why Carlos Carrasco's scheduled rehab start was pushed back.
In this story:

Carlos Carrasco's scheduled rehab start will be pushed back.

According to Mets manager Buck Showalter, Carrasco is dealing with an illness and "is not doing well."

As a result of his illness, Carrasco will not make a rehab start, which was supposed to come over the weekend. Showalter does not know when Carrasco will take the mound, but it will at least be a few more days.

Carrasco has been throwing bullpen sessions at Citi Field. But this bump in the road will now push his timeline to return back.

Carrasco was initially expected to rejoin the Mets' rotation sometime next week, but his return will have to wait a bit.
