The New York Mets have acquired relief pitchers Phil Bickford and Adam Kolarek from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for cash.

FanSided's Robert Murray and The New York Post's Joel Sherman were the first on this news.

Bickford is struggling this season to a 5.14 ERA, while Kolarek has made just one appearance in the major leagues this year. However, he has pitched to a 2.40 ERA in Triple-A.

After trading away David Robertson and Dominic Leone, the Mets were in need of more bullpen arms, which is just what they got in this trade with the Dodgers.

In addition to Robertson and Leone, the Mets dealt Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Tommy Pham and Mark Canha.

The deadline is now over and the Mets are in full-on rebuild mode. But that didn't stop them from acquiring two arms from the Dodgers.
