The Mets have made a few surprising moves.

On the day of their rainout, the team placed Brooks Raley on the 15-day IL with left elbow inflammation. They also demoted starting pitcher David Peterson, sending him down to Triple-A.

To replace this duo on the 26-man roster, the Mets called up John Curtiss and reinstated Adam Ottavino from the paternity list.

Peterson had another rough outing for the Mets on Friday night, allowing four runs in five innings to the Atlanta Braves.

Overall, the lefty has an abysmal 7.34 ERA and is 1-4 on the season.

As for Raley, he has a 4.76 ERA in 11.1 innings on the year. The Mets will be down one of their high-leverage relief arms while Raley is on the shelf.
