That's likely a wrap on his 2023 season.

New York Mets center fielder Brandon Nimmo is dealing with an issue in his AC joint in his right shoulder, which will likely end his season.

According to manager Buck Showalter, Nimmo's initial X-Rays "looked good," but he will receive an MRI on Friday afternoon.

“He may wake up and feel fine,” Showalter told reporters of Nimmo after the Mets and Miami Marlins had their game suspended in the top of the ninth inning at Citi Field. “I’m not expecting that, but I’m not going to rule it out.”

Nimmo dove for a ball hit by Jorge Soler in the fourth inning of Thursday night's game and hit the grass hard.

He was removed in the fifth inning for Rafael Ortega.

Should Nimmo be unable to return this season, he will finish with a .829 OPS, a career-high 24 home runs and a career-high 152 games played.

Nimmo has been one of the lone consistent Mets this year, who lived up to expectations.

This was the first year of an eight-year, $162 million contract that he signed in the offseason.

The Mets announced on Wednesday that Starling Marte (groin) is done for the season, and on Thursday revealed Jeff McNeil is out for the year with a partially torn UCL in his left elbow.
