New York Mets Superstar Wins Silver Slugger Award

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor has won the National League Silver Slugger Award.
Lindor led NL shortstops with 31 home runs, 98 RBIs and a 6.0 fWAR. This Silver Slugger trophy is the third of Lindor's career.
Despite a slow start to the regular season, Lindor picked things up at the plate and put together the best offensive campaign for a shortstop in Mets history. He also posted a 30-30 season, with 31 homers and 31 stolen bases. This was just the fourth 30-30 season in franchise history for the Mets.
In three seasons since signing a massive 10-year, $341 million contract with the Mets prior to the 2021 season, Lindor has slashed .254/.333/.447 with a .780 OPS, 77 homers and 268 RBIs in 446 games.
Lindor has proven to be durable, playing in 160 games and 161 games in each of the past two seasons.
Shortly after the conclusion of the 2023 season, it was revealed that Lindor was playing a majority of the campaign with a bone spur in his elbow, which he had removed in October.
The Mets have a significant amount of question marks heading into the offseason, but the shortstop position is not one of them.
