There's been a lot of speculation that the Baltimore Orioles might trade one or both of their star outfielders this offseason.

Rumors have swirled about Anthony Santander and Austin Hays potentially being moved out of town.

The Orioles have been reluctant to move Santander in the past but his projected salary for the upcoming season could finally make them truly listen to offers.

Hays has value on the market as a solid defender and plus-batter that other teams could try to acquire.

If that's the case, Baltimore would likely turn their outfield over to the young players they have in their pipeline.

But, the front office has also valued the presence of veteran players mixed in with their youth. That approach helped the Orioles become the best team in the American League during the 2023 regular season.

So, if they do move on from their players, one veteran they could target in free agency would be postseason star Tommy Pham.

The outfielder stepped up for the Arizona Diamondbacks this season after they acquired him at the trade deadline. After having his production drop following the move, he became one of their best hitters during the playoffs.

Pham had a slash line of .293/.300/.500 with three home runs and four RBI in 58 at-bats in the postseason.

The veteran also played the role in the Diamondbacks' clubhouse that Baltimore would be looking for.

Arizona is also full of young talent and wanted for an established player to come in and solidify things in their lineup. He was an intracule part of pushing their team into the playoffs and performed once they got there.

The Orioles could look to Pham to do the same thing for them if they feel like they still want a veteran outfielder in the mix.
