The Baltimore Orioles released 20 non-roster invitations to Major League spring training on Tuesday, led by their No. 1 prospect, Jackson Holliday.

Pitchers and catchers must report to the Orioles’ spring training facility on Feb. 15, with the full squad reporting on Feb. 20. The Orioles open their spring training season at home at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Fla., against Boston on Feb. 24.

Holliday, the Orioles’ first-round pick in 2022, was one of three infielders invited to spring training. Another top prospect, Coby Mayo, earned an invitation along with Connor Norby.

The Orioles are bringing five non-roster catchers to spring training, led by another top prospect in Samuel Basallo, who is one of the Orioles’ fastest rising prospects.

Joining him are Silas Ardoin, David Banuelos, Maverick Handley and Michael Perez.

The only outfielder with a non-roster invitation was Daniel Johnson.

The rest of the invitations went to pitchers. The right-handed pitchers included Justin Armbruester, Wandisson Charles, Chayce McDermott, Garrett Stallings, Albert Suarez and Nathan Webb. The left-handed pitchers included Tucker Davidson, Luis Gonzalez, Ronald Guzman, Cade Povich and Andrew Suarez.

The Orioles are coming off their first season of 100 or more wins since the 1980 season. Baltimore won 101 games in 2023, as they won the American League East but got no further in the playoffs, falling to the Texas Rangers in the AL Division Playoffs.

Third baseman Gunnar Henderson won Rookie of the Year, manager Brandon Hyde won Manager of the Year, Félix Bautista won the Mariano Rivera Reliever of the Year award and pitcher Kyle Bradish finished in the top 5 of Cy Young voting.

Henderson and catcher Adley Rutschman also won Silver Sluggers.
