It was announced by the Baltimore Orioles that Jackson Holliday, the number one overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft is the consensus number one prospect in all of baseball. That's understandable considering how many minor league levels Holliday moved up in 2023.

He started the season in Low-A Delmarva playing in only 14 games hitting .396 with 21 total hits, six of them were doubles, a triple, and two home runs, totalling 16 runs batted in. All of that deserved a promotion to High-A Aberdeen.

As an Aberdeen Ironbird, Holliday played in the most games in his career at 57. The competition was a little better in the South Atlantic League as his batting average dipped to .314 while adding 65 hits in 207 at-bats. He also increased his doubles, triples, home runs, and runs batted in with the Ironbirds.

After Aberdeen, he was promoted to the Bowie Baysox where he only played in 36 games. As a Baysox, Holiday's numbers decreased due to not playing in the same amount of games as he played in Aberdeen, but Holliday still put up solid numbers to each a promotion to Triple-A Norfork.

Holliday's promotion to the Tides proved to the Orioles and the fanbase that it could've been possible for him to possibly get called up to the Major League roster when rosters expanded with a "chance" of being on the Postseason roster.

It's no wonder that Holliday was the consensus number-one prospect courtesy of MLB.com, The Athletic, Baseball America, Baseball Prospectus, ESPN, and Fangraphs.
