The Baltimore Orioles' pursuit of Dylan Cease is well noted as the team has continued to show interest in landing the Chicago White Sox ace. The 28-year-old has two years of club control and is one of the top arms in baseball.

With other options on the market, Cease is arguably the best available pitcher. The issue, however, is the trade package the White Sox are looking for in return continues to be high.

According to Jim Bowden of The Athletic, Chicago's asking price has been "unrealistic" and the Orioles aren't going to overpay for him. Bowden notes that the White Sox will eventually lower the price tag and ask for a more realistic package.

When that does become the case, there's not a better team in baseball to make this deal than Baltimore.

The Orioles arguably have the best farm system that baseball has ever seen, and with many options for them to trade, a deal seems obvious. Them getting outbid in a trade is almost impossible, unless the front office doesn't want to move certain prospects.

Given all of the potential stars in their farm system, there's no reason to continue waiting around and not making moves.

Baltimore can only call up so many prospects and with a star-studded, young, big-league roster, there simply isn't room for some of the guys in the minors.

This Orioles team is a World Series contender and at some point they need to make that big trade to indicate that they're doing whatever it takes to compete at the highest level.

That doesn't mean to overpay, but when the price eventually comes down, this is a deal they need to make.
