Kyle Bradish Adds Another Honor After Stellar 2023 Season
In December of 2019, the Baltimore Orioles traded Dylan Bundy, the fourth pick in the 2011 MLB Draft, to the Los Angels Angels for four pitchers.
One of those was Kyle Bradish, a fourth round pick in the 2018 MLB Draft out of New Mexico State University. He spent the next couple of seasons in the Orioles' minor league system.
Bradish eventually made his Major League debut with Baltimore in April of the 2022 season and he's been with the big league ballclub ever since.
Now, after having a stellar second year in the rotation, he was listed at No. 73 on MLB's Top 100 Player's List for the first time in his career.
He worked hard after his debut season and it paid off to the tune that he came in fourth place of American League Cy Young Award voting.
His 2.83 ERA was also fourth in all of baseball behind two-time Cy Young Award winners Blake Snell and Gerrit Cole, as well as new St. Louis Cardinals starter Sonny Gray.
With the addition of Corbin Burnes to their rotation, Bradish moves down to the No. 2 spot.
Burnes, the 2021 Cy Young award winner will be able to help all of the Orioles pitchers, which makes them an even better rotation than they were previously.
Baltimore might even have three potential Cy Young candidates in the starting rotation with Burnes, Bradish, and Grayson Rodriguez.
It's going to be a fun 2024 season as Bradish enters his third full season in the Orioles' rotation.
