One of the best and funniest reactions in sports is when a teammate goes for a high-five or a fist bump, and the person they are signaling toward doesn’t see it, so they take it upon themselves to just dap themselves up.

It happens more often than you would think and always makes for some minor comedy along the way. I think it’s just the pure simplicity of it all that brings out the comedic purposes.

Earlier in the week against the Miami Marlins, before unfortunately suffering a fractured wrist in Milwaukee, San Diego Padres infielder Jake Cronenworth tried to fist-bump Padres pitcher Michael Wacha as he was walking off the field. Wacha either didn’t see him or something, and Cronenworth decided to take it upon himself to finish the job. You can see the video below.

It’s good to see that the players are still in high spirits after the frustrating season that they have gone through. However, they are going to fight until the end, and they did take two of three games from the Marlins.

It was a solid start to the week and a much-needed series win for this club. They have been battling back all season long, and it has taken its toll on this team.

But there is still over a month left in the season, so the Friars aren't giving up. They know what is at stake here, and are trying to put together a few solid weeks of baseball.

They remain well back of the final wild-card spot in the National League, so they do have work to do. But this team has the talent to still make a run, it just needs to happen fast. Time is running out on their season, and they don't want to end the year outside the playoff picture.
