Padres Catcher Blown Away by Fernando Tatis Jr’s Recent Play, Says ‘He’s Ready’
Fans of the San Diego Padres were already more than excited to welcome back Fernando Tatis Jr hopefully this weekend. He has been working day and night to prepare himself to play with the big league squad again and the final part of the return process has been suiting up for the El Paso Chihuahuas.
A player of El Nino's caliber usually doesn't play in the minor leagues but he is taking advantage of any live games he can get. He's been putting on a show for the people in attendance and even though opposing pitchers may not like him much... can we really blame them?
He is looking every bit of the superstar he was prior to the injury and suspension and he has six home runs in the past three games. His slash line has also been off the charts (.478/.586/1.087) and he's had some crazy success stepping up to the plate.
Brett Sullivan, catcher for the Friars, got to witness some of Tatis' AAA play and was blown away. He believes he's more than ready to take the field with San Diego again and that fans are in for a treat.
"He needs to get up here ASAP, I've never seen anything like that," said Sullivan. "You guys are gonna be in for something special when he gets back. He's ready, it almost looked like unfair. I think it was sold out every night, it was crazy."

There is just something special about players that the fanbase gets to see grow up. In Tatis' case, it's extra special because they watched him grow into a massive star and come crashing down just as hard these past few years.
We all remember the type of numbers he posted the last time he got to rock the gold and brown back in 2021.
His return is going to be very special.
