Padres Giveaways: Incredible Ha-Seong Kim Bobblehead Revealed; Dropping in August
Ha-Seong Kim is receiving his bobblehead night on August 22nd against the Miami Marlins, this bobblehead, however, has one unique twist.
The bobblehead of the rising star out of South Korea depicts the speedster's inability to keep his helmet on while hustling around the bases.
His lack of head protection does not stop the quick infielder from stealing bases as he leads the team with 27 stolen bags, 10 more than second-place Fernando Tatis Jr.
The 27-year-old international star is having a breakout year at the plate. Already known for his elite middle infield defense the third-year player has made huge strides at the plate.
Already breaking his total home runs in a season, currently sitting at 15. The young infield piece is also hitting a personal best .288 average with a .835 OPS.
The much-improved bat added on with the elite defense from the middle infield combines for a player that is tied with Ronald Acuna Jr. for the National League lead for Wins Above Replacement, at 5.9.
This year's improvement at the plate could not have come at a better time as players like Manny Machado, Xander Bogaerts, and Fernando Tatis Jr. have all struggled at some point during this season.
The former KBO superstar is helping his Major League team win and is one of the few reasons the Padres are still in contention for making the playoffs.
Currently sitting at 55-60 the Friars are 4.5 games back for the last Wild Card spot and scheduled to play teams like Diamondbacks, Marlins, Giants, and the Phillies in their last 50-ish games the team playing out of Petco could swing a lot of games if they win these National League matchups.
One of these matchups comes on August 22nd where fans can get a unique bobblehead and watch the Friars take on the team that currently is holding on to the last Wild Card spot.
