Your San Diego Padres got out of San Francisco with one win under their belt. Not ideal considering how they came into the week, but they avoided the sweep against their division rival Giants.

The offense was explosive in the series finale, scoring 10 runs and hitting three out of the ballpark thanks to Gary Sanchez, Manny Machado, and Ha-Seong Kim. The offense did their job, and so did the hottest pitcher in baseball, lefty ace Blake Snell. Snell made it look easy going into his 15th start of the season against baseball's hottest team at the moment.

He was and continues to be as dominant as he can be, and it's been a pleasure to watch on our end. Snell picked up his fourth win of the year, making it look easy once again. The southpaw spoke to MLB reporter Sonja Chen and said his approach against this Giants' team came no different than others.

"They're a big league team, so I look at them in that sense," Snell said. "I keep 'em right there. I don't make them better than they are, worse than they are. They're just a really good hitting team, and if I execute, I believe I can beat a really good team."

Snellzilla was insane, posting video-game-like numbers in his fourth start this month, going six strong innings, allowing only three hits, zero runs, and recording another double-digit strikeout with 11.

This month he is 3-0 in four starts with a 0.36 ERA (yes, that's correct), allowing only 10 hits, one run, six walks, and 43 strikeouts in 25 innings while allowing an average of .119. The 30-year-old has looked better than ever, and there is no sign of slowing down.

We'll see how long Blake can keep up his dominance.

The Padres will now look to ride this momentum into the weekend when they take on the lonely Washington Nationals and look to finally reach .500.
