Padres News: Clayton Kershaw Expands on Scoreboard Meme Feelings
We are long removed from about two weeks ago when the San Diego Padres took on the Los Angeles Dodgers at Petco Park and won their first game against them since taking them down in the 2022 NLDS. Vibes were high after this and the video was obviously a little confident as they decided to throw a crying image of Clayton Kershaw on the board amidst one of his worst 2023 performances.
Here's a refresher if you need it!
However, we all know what has happened since then. San Diego has failed to win a single game against LA in that stretch and dropped both of their series against them. It looks like the baseball gods were not too happy with them as they've been in shambles after that stunt.
However, Clayton Kershaw never seemed too upset about it. He revealed that he just needed to pitch better and it would not have happened. if anything, Julio Urias was the one that had some ill feelings about it with 'Those who laugh last, laugh the best' comments but that's a story for another day.
Kershaw has opted to speak on the matters once again while appearing on a Bleacher Report show once again and you'll want to hear what he has to say.
"Honestly, I didn't even notice it until after the game," said Kershaw. "none of us saw it but what I said the next day was true. If you don't like it, you just got to pitch better. And I know it's never coming from our peers, it's coming from somebody that runs the Jumbotron. That got pretty viral there, people were mad."

Mookie Betts also added that stuff like this happens in sports.
"We understand," said Betts. "The game is tough."
We are glad to see that it's all love at the end of the day and even though these two clubhouses have some of the most passionate fanbases in sports, the players should never suffer because of it.
