Padres News: Fans Beg for Robert Suarez's Return Amidst Poor Pitching Outings

The impact that Robert Suarez was able to make on the Padres organization as a whole was clear in just first season with them in 2022. Coming off a five-year stint with Japan and some seasons in Mexico before that, nobody knew what to realistically expect of him in San Diego.
However, his polish and reliability at the pitching mound was clear off the bat. A 5-1 record with 61 strikeouts and a 2.27 ERA speaks for itself and he was doing something that current relievers this season are struggling with: holding onto leads when enters the game.
For all of the firepower and big names that the Friars have welcomed these past few years, the offensive output hasn't been what it was hyped to be just yet. However, the pitching has been even worse in the second halves of games so far and improvement is needed.
Padres fans have been clamoring for Suarez to return and show everybody else in the bullpen how to take care of business.
We miss you Robert Suarez...

My level of concern of the Padres bullpen is directly related to how serious the injury is for Robert Suarez.

They’ll be fine if Suarez is back and fully healthy soon, but if he’s gone an extended period then yeah call me really concerned.
My god the #Padres miss Robert Suarez. Also doesn’t help that Bob Melvin still continues to badly mismanage the bullpen.

Suarez is currently undergoing a tricky recovery from an elbow injury. He does not have any tears or visible strains in the joint but he has been struggling to keep inflammation down on it. The inflammation is on his right arm, which is the one he throws with, and the Padres have been proceeding with caution.
