Stealing home is one of the toughest things to do in baseball. On Wednesday, Padres superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. made it look easy.

In the bottom of the seventh inning of Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles, Tatis was on third with two outs.

With Juan Soto up at the plate and in an 0-1 count, Tatis decided to do something spectacular.

I could explain to you what he did and how he did it, but I think it's best to hear it from him. So here's how he described that play:

“I was trying not to call attention from the beginning with a small lead,” Tatis said. “Their third baseman was a little bit far. So as soon as I saw [the pitcher] got engaged and started setting, I just took my first four steps. I was looking at him all the way. I saw he was still looking down. And when he saw me, I was already past home.”

Now that you heard it from him, here's the play, in all its glory:

It's rare you see a stolen base of him, and it's even more rare you see it that easily. However, that's just the kind of player Tatis is, and he can electrify a team and a stadium at any moment.
