San Diego may not have a professional basketball or a professional hockey team but they are home to one of the most star-studded lineups this coming season that we've ever seen in the MLB. The Padres' front office has been carefully constructing the roster over these past few years and has committed a lot of money to ensure that the team will be contending in October for seasons to come.

Everybody surrounding the franchise from players to fans have been raving about the potential of this squad and they have been a hot topic within the media as well. We have been able to get a nice preview of some members of the Friars during this year's Spring Training. Juan Soto has showed nice power at the plate, Ethan Salas made his debut at just 16-years-old, and Fernando Tatis Jr. has finally suited up again for the first time in an eternity.

Tatis also joined 'Bally Sports San Diego' for an interview during their exhibition against the San Fransisco Giants. He had some big praise for his teammates and addressed the hype surrounding the Friars right now.

"It feels special to be part of something, you know that is, when have we seen this?" said Tatis. "And, you know, just being appreciative of what the front office is doing for this team, for this culture, and I'm just really glad I'm part of it."

Padres fans are certainly glad Tatis is part of this group as well and echo his thoughts that the baseball world has never quite seen a roster like this. If the 24-year-old can even come close to the production he showed in the 2021 season before injuries, San Diego will have something special brewing.
