Padres News: Fernando Tatis Jr. Sheds Light on Viral Dance Video
In the days leading up to the long-awaited return of Fernando Tatis Jr, his Padres teammates were asked multiple times how they thought he would deal with the potential negativity from fans whenever they were on the road.
They all made one thing clear and that was that they would have his back no matter what but Xander Bogaerts and Manny Machado were honest in revealing that he would likely garner more than just the usual boo's.
His teammates proved to be right as just about a week into his 2023 campaign, Nando was manning the outfield at Wrigley Stadium when Chicago Cubs fans started raining down chants of "He's on Steroids" and his reaction was classic.
Talk about not giving them the response that they hoped to get. Tatis has been clear about he's grown and matured a lot in his time away from baseball and this is an ultimate example of proving that to be true.
A younger version of El Niño might have let these chants get the best of him and maybe do or say something he'd later regret. However, he killed them with kindness and got a viral video out of it. It's not something he expects to always do though.
"It's not going to be there all the time," said Tatis. "It just comes out, different answers. It's going to happen and nothing much we can do about it."

Tatis is focused on one thing this season and that is helping the Padres get back to winning ways. It's going to be a beauty watching him find his groove with the rest of the squad.
