Padres superstar Fernando Tatis Jr has a date set to return to the baseball field. After missing all of last season due to injury and suspension, Nando returns to the lineup and will hit in the DH position against the Giants on Tuesday.

The last time Tatis Jr was on the field, he was one of the very best shortstops in the game. He hit a career-high 42 home runs with 97 runs batted in. His .975 OPS was fourth-best in baseball even though he was dealing with shoulder issues.

Then the offseason hit and he broke his wrist in a motorcycling accident that he tried to hide from the club.

Now, another year older and wise, his teammates have welcomed him back into the mix with open arms.

The Padres travel to Scottsdale to face the division rival San Francisco Giants on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 12:05 PM PT
