The San Diego Padres are coming off a tough week last week. The club went into the week one game above .500 and remain one game above .500 going into this week.

It could've gone better for your Frairs last week; however, MLB columnist for Bleacher Report Joel Reuter believes it was a good week for the Friars and put them two spots up from last week.

15. San Diego Padres (18-17)

Previous Rank: 17

The Padres climbed two spots more as a result of teams ahead of them dropping than their own performance, as they went 3-3 last week with a series win over the Cincinnati Reds and a series loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Closer Josh Hader blew his first save of the season on Sunday after starting 11-of-11 on save chances.

San Diego started the week off strong taking two out of three from the Cincinnati Reds, scoring 17 runs but was only able to score eight runs in their games against the Dodgers.

They'll look to redeem themselves this upcoming week, starting with the Minnesota Twins and once again ending with the Dodgers. The Friars will begin with their righty pitcher Michael Wacha and top it with him as well.

We'll see how the Friars respond after a .500 week and get back into the NL West race.
