The Padres decided to shake things up on Tuesday, and did it in the form of a series of roster moves to drastically change the team's offense. The move involved seven players, and we'll break it all down right here.

The biggest news involved infielder Rougned Odor, who the team designated for assignment. Additionally, the team optioned catcher Austin Nola and infielder/outfielder Brandon Dixon to Triple-A.

Those moves made room for catcher Luis Campusano, who returned from rehab and was reinstated from the 60-day injured list, and outfielder Taylor Kohlwey and infielder Alfonso Rivas, who were selected from Triple-A El Paso.

Did you get all that?

Let's start with Odor, who was DFA'd after hitting .210 this season with four home runs, 18 runs batted in and an OPS of .675. He appeared in 59 games with the team this season, and will almost certainly generate interest on waivers.

Now let's go to Nola, who's being replaced by Campusano on the active roster, much to the delight of Padres fans everywhere.

Nola has struggled mightily in 52 games this year, hitting just .146 with one home run, eight RBIs and an OPS of .452.

He's getting replaced by Campusano, who went 5-for-21 this year before going on the 60-day IL.

Now there's Dixon, who's also seen some consistent playing time in San Diego, but is being optioned after hitting .203 with two home runs, nine runs batted in and an OPS .573.

Odor and Dixon are being replaced by Kohlwey and Rivas. Kohlwey is hitting .261 in Triple-A this season with nine home runs, 49 RBIs and an OPS of .814. Rivas is hitting an incredible .332 in Triple-A this year with nine home runs, 40 RBIs and an OPS of 1.044.

Rivas has played in the MLB in parts of the last three years, hitting .248 with four home runs, 29 RBIs and an OPS of .657 in 302 at-bats. Kohlwey will be making his Major League debut.

The Padres decided to change things up on offense as they sit at 44-50 and eight games out of the third and final Wild Card spot. Let's see if these guys can make an impact.
