Padres News: Ha-Seong Kim Removed From Thursday’s Game With Apparent Injury
Things were already going very bad for the San Diego Padres in their final game of their current series against the Washington Nationals on Thursday. They were already without Manny Machado, fell 1-0 in the first inning, and now lost Ha-Seong Kim to injury as well.
Kim went down in horrendous pain in the second inning after he fouled a ball off of his left knee and could not leave the field by himself.Ha-Seong Kim is exiting today's game after fouling a ball off his left knee area. He was assisted off the field with help of the Padres' athletic training staff, putting no weight on his left leg.

This is a huge blow for the Friars considering that Kim has been THE replacement for Manny Machado at third base while he recovers from a hairline fracture.
Luckily, Trent Grisham connected on a two-run home run not soon after the injury to raise the spirits a bit but all eyes will be on how Kim is feeling.
Kim has always been known as one of the most versatile players the Friars have had over the past few years and this season has served no different. Beyond just his ability to play multiple infield positions, he's also been a huge offensive option amidst multiple star teammates struggling.
We'll provide more updates as soon as we have them.
