The wait is finally over ladies and gentleman... Joe Musgrove is back in business.

After a long recovery from a dropped kettle ball in Spring Training, numerous setbacks, and a ton of simulated games, the 30-year-old star is set to start at the pitching mound for the San Diego Padres on Saturday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

AJ Cassavell was the first to report the big news.

"Joe Musgrove is healthy and fully built up and will make his season debut on Saturday in Arizona, Bob Melvin says. That bumps Yu Darvish back to Sunday."

He could not come at a better time as the San Diego Padres are playing some of their worst baseball in their very early season so far. He is obviously not going to change their biggest issue right, which is their batting, but having back arguably their best pitcher along with one of their leaders will be a huge plus.

In the meantime before he was cleared to re-join the Friars, Musgrove was able to stay warm in the Minor Leagues.

We look forward to seeing him officially kick off his 2023 campaign.
