After being involved in two trade deadline blockbuster deals, a pair of Padres stars will be making their way to the All-Star game in Seattle.

Outfielder Juan Soto and relief pitcher Josh Hader both have earned roster spots on the National League All-Star team.

In a season full of disappointments, these two players have lived up to their trade value and have earned a spot amongst the other top players in the NL.

Soto has been one of the best hitting outfielders in the league this season. Many people think that the 24-year-old was snubbed from an opportunity to start the game.

In 84 games this year, Soto has a .926 OPS, which is fifth best in the NL. On top of that, Soto leads the Padres in RBIs with 46 and leads the league in walks with 75.

Soto will be appearing in his third consecutive All-Star game.

When the Padres acquired Josh Hader at last year's trade, the team knew they were going to be getting one of the best relievers in the league.

Hader has proved the Padres right so far during his stint in San Diego. The left hander is making his fifth All-Star team and his third consecutive one.

In the National League, Hader leads all relievers with at least 20 appearances with a 1.21 ERA and is third with 18 saves.

Many people believe that another Padres star should have made the cut for the NL. Fernando Tatis Jr. is left off the team despite having similar numbers to Soto in 20 less games.

Tatis is currently leading the Padres in home runs.

If an injury occurs to an All-Star outfielder or shortstop before the game on Tuesday, fans could be seeing Tatis join Soto and Hader.

Soto and Hader will take the field for the National League next Tuesday, July 11, in Seattle. Fans can watch the game at 5 p.m. on FOX.
