Padres News: Juan Soto Endured Worst Game of Career on Tuesday
After what can only be described as a remarkable start to his young MLB career up to this point, Padres outfielder Juan Soto struggled mightily in Tuesday night's game to a degree we've never seen before.
On the road against the Seattle Mariners, Soto's normally patient approach at the plate was broken down in what was possibly the worst game he's had in the majors up to this point.
Juan Soto struck out four times last night. He had never done that before in 730 career games.

Known for his pension to take walks and shuffle around pitchers for balls outside of the strike zone, Soto was sent to the dugout four straight times on Tuesday night.
Mariners starter Logan Gilbert sat down Soto three straight times swinging that added to his overall total of 12 punchouts on the night for the tall righty.
Soto was sat down by Mariners' closer Andres Munoz for the fourth and final time, this time looking, in what punctuated an overall frustrating night for the Padre offense fresh off of another series loss to the Dodgers over the weekend and into Monday.
The outfielder wasn't the only one who struggled in San Diego's lineup as the entire team failed to register a single run in the Emerald City.
Joining Soto with three or more strikeouts on the night were center fielder Trent Grisham and surprisingly one of the most consistent Padres this year, infielder Ha-Seong Kim.
Superstar right fielder and Soto's teammate Fernando Tatis Jr. thought he had both a hit and a chance to break the donut on the Friars scoreboard after belting a ball to deep center field.
Needing a spectacular play, Tatis Jr. had his rocket sent back to earth by Mariners center fielder Julio Rodriguez, days after Dodger center fielder James Outman robbed another potential homer in the previous series.
Despite the poor showing, Tatis Jr. is showing confidence in himself. Such a sentiment could be used by Soto and the rest of the team to inspire a playoff push.
