Opening Day is just a ways away, Padre fans, and if that doesn't get you excited enough, maybe this will. Padres superstar Juan Soto provided an update on his injury and said he feels he'll be a-go come Opening Day.

That is just what Friars fans wanted to hear. Soto said he would need to see how he feels tomorrow, but nonetheless, this is great news coming from Soto.

The 24-year-old superstar suffered a mild strain of his left oblique last week. The injury was viewed as minimal, but the Padres remained cautious with Soto.

The lefty slugger is coming off an incredible couple of games in the World Baseball Classic, where he batted .400 and hit two homers. Overall, Soto has had a great spring; he's batting .541, homered once, knocked in seven, and has a 1.600 OPS in 14 ABs.

He'll be looking to ride that moment into the regular season, and Padre fans couldn't be more excited.

Padres manager Bob Melvin also iterated that he'll be ready for Opening Day. All signs point to good news. Can it be Thursday already?!?!
