Your San Diego Padres were on fire in their Wednesday matchup against the Seattle Mariners. San Diego came out on top in a big way, 10-3, and the offense was clicking on all cylinders.

The offense managed to record 17 hits in the win, and their big lefty slugger chimed in for 29% of their hits.

Padres superstar outfielder Juan Soto had himself a day as he collected a career-high five hits in one game while going a perfect 5-for-5.

Soto spoke to the media after the game and expressed his surprise at his performance but only cared about getting the W.

“It was amazing and I couldn’t believe it," Soto said. "But the most important thing is to get the win. I’m just grinding and I keep going hard.″

The 24-year-old had a career day while recording four RBIs and scoring a run.

Soto and the Friars were feeling themselves, and it was a great thing to witness from the fan's and team's perspectives. The offense has been hit or miss from game to game, and from what Tuesday's matchup told us, they were primed for a big game on Wednesday.

Now, if history follows, the Padres won't have a great game on Friday, but hopefully, this changes things. They will look to inch closer to .500, and even though this season has been a disaster, the Friars remain within striking distance of a wild card spot.

Let's hope Soto's performance finds something in the team so they can carry that throughout.
