Padres News: LA Clippers Superstar Throws Out First Pitch Ahead of Wednesday’s Game
Athletes of different sports throwing out the first pitch at baseball games has become a tradition of it's own. It's a cool way for players to share in the atmosphere of a city. It could be a player from a team in the same city or even someone that comes home and gets the chance. Either way, it's a cool moment for all parties.
At Wednesday's San Diego Padres home game against the Cleveland Guardians, Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George got the chance to throw out the first pitch.
George isn't from the San Diego area, nor does he play for a San Diego based team but he is a Padres fan. He has spoken about this previously so this must have been an awesome experience for the veteran forward.
George provided some hype prior to the game and something worked. The Padres ended up winning the game by a score of 5-0 to continue their winning ways. Maybe George should be in attendance more often as he seems to bring some good luck to this Padres organization.
Now, not to criticize him too much but the pitch was a little high but we can't fault this too heavily. He should probably stick to playing basketball however but this is a moment that he won't ever forget.
