The San Diego Padres picked up their 31st win of the season on Saturday as they took down division rival Colorado Rockies. Padres came out victorious, 3-2, doing just enough on offense and plenty on defense.

Padres superstar Manny Machado did his thing on offense as he went 3-for-5 with two singles and one double; however, it was his defense that shined on Saturday. Manny possibly made the catch of the year late in the game and said he's just glad that he caught it and didn't allow a run to cross.

“Caught it,” Machado said with a smirk. “I have no idea what the hell happened, honestly. It hit me somewhere, I don’t know where. My nose was hurting. My lip was hurting. I’m glad the run didn’t score.”

The 30-year-old star might be known more for his glove than his bat. Manny has a plethora of web gems in his career, and he added to that in a big way this past weekend.

Padre fans are familiar with his defensive game, but he still ceases to amaze us in the hot corner.

He's otherworldly at that spot and possibly the best third base defender in the game today.
