Padres News: Petco Park Selling Out 2023 Games at Historic Rate
The San Diego Padres were not shy at all when it came to their money this past season as a number of their key players including Manny Machado, Yu Darvish, and Jake Cronenworth were granted extensions on top of signing Xander Bogaerts to a huge contract.
Expectations were through the roof due to all of this star power that was assembled in the city and the fanbase was never more excited. It surprises a lot of people to hear this but the Friars have yet to capture a World Series and have only been to the big dance twice in their franchise's history.
Even though they haven't gotten off to the most ideal of starts, Petco Park has still been rocking. It all started since the season opening series that sold out and since then, the fans have remained loyal through the struggles.
"Last night was the 10th sellout of the season at Petco Park. With three games against the Dodgers beginning Friday, the Padres should get halfway to last year’s record of 26 sellouts by the end of the weekend."

Padres fans know exactly what the potential of this team is and even though their squad's best game came in Mexico City instead of San Diego, the stage is still set for them to be one of the best teams in the league.
