Padres News: Petco Park's Average Ticket Price Places Among Top 10 Most Expensive Stadiums of 2023

Fans who are attending Padres games this season are paying a high price to get into Petco Park. 

FOX Sports released a graphic on its social media pages on Tuesday showing the top ten most expensive ticket prices across Major League Baseball. 

The stats that FOX used is from Statista, a data website that tells the news through charts.

Petco Park ranked seventh on the list as the average ticket to get in the stadium costs $140. Division rival Dodgers, lead the way with the average ticket price at Dodger Stadium being $209. 

This is the second straight year that Petco Park has been ranked in the top ten. 

For the Padres next home series against the Angels, the cheapest ticket is worth $41 according to SeatGeek. 

The most expensive game left on the schedule is when the Dodgers are in San Diego on August 5. The cheapest ticket for that game is $111. 

With the team's rising payroll it makes sense that the Padres are ranked with other high payroll teams such as the Yankees, Dodgers and Rangers. 

Ticket revenue helps plays for the players contracts that everyone comes to the stadium to see.
