Padres superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. is finally back with the squad, and fans couldn't be happier. They've been missing their one-time All-Star and two-time silver slugger, and the feeling is mutual.

Tatis Jr. brought in this new wave of Padres baseball that the city of San Diego hadn't felt in a long time. The city of San Diego is in love with the 24-year-old, and to show their love, a mural group put up a mural of Fernando in honor of his return to the team

The mural depicts Tatis Jr. with the caption “The wait is over” in anticipation of his return to the Padres lineup after missing the entire 2022 season due to injury and suspension.

You can take a look at the mural in the link above.

The mural is of Fernanods face with a caption stating, "The wait is over." The painting is in Chula Vista, CA, and was done by Ground Floor Murals, who have done several Padre-themed murals all over San Diego.

Fernando missed all of the 2022 season due to a motorcycle accident that injured his wrist and was suspended 80 games due to using PEDs that followed him into this season.

Tatis Jr is now back with the squad, catching his stride, and we can't wait to have him back playing at Petco Park.
