The San Diego Padres haven't gotten off to a pretty start. The club sits two games under .500 as of Tuesday, and the offense looks stagnant at best. What makes it even worse is only one of the big-time bats is off to a great start, Xander Bogaerts. The other two, Manny Machado and Juan Soto, are off to the slow start, to say the least.

However, that's not fazing the two stars, including Bogaerts, who told San Diego Tribune's Kevin Acee that he isn't worried about his co-star's slow start to the season.

“Manny Machado is not gonna have one home run when the season ends,” Bogaerts said. “Juan Soto won’t have three home runs when the season ends. These guys are guys that are established, guys who have track records. If there is one thing I know about this game it is you believe in a guy’s track record. That goes a long way, man, I’m telling you. These are not guys that it’s their first year in the big leagues. Nah. These guys are established stars.”

You never want to have slow starts, but these guys aren't your ordinary ball players. Especially, Machado, he has been there and done that. He's become the clear leader in the clubhouse and will be an MVP favorite when it's all said and done. His slow start shouldn't be a concern to Friar fans.

On the other hand, Juan Soto has yet to be the superstar player the Padres acquired last season. he's only slashing .218/.377/.383 with a .760 OPS through 70 games and 243 ABs. It's a bit concerning for Juan, considering he will seek some big money a few seasons from now.

Nonetheless, the 24-year-old superstar similar to Manny is too talented to continue this slump. Things look gloomy right now, but brighter days are ahead for the Friars and their fans.
