Padres Notes: Cronenworth Opens Up, Trade Deadline is Ticking, Friars Get a Big Win

The Padres picked up a much-needed win Friday night at a time when every win could be categorized as "much-needed."
In the first game of a home series against the Texas Rangers, the Padres won 7-1 thanks to a 9-hit performance that included a home run from Fernando Tatis Jr.
In other news, trade deadline rumors continue to heat up, with some expecting San Diego to deal reliever Josh Hader and/or starter Blake Snell while others expect the Friars to bolster their campaign for a playoff berth, onto which they are barely holding on.
