Padres Notes: Milestone Manny, Sweep Dreams, Snell and Hader Headed Out?

The Padres swept the Angels Wednesday, their first three-game sweep since April.

Manny Machado became the career home run leader in Petco Park when he hit a bomb to take the lead a few innings after batting in Kim to tie the game. The Angels walked the Padres a total of 11 times, including a few head-scratching intentional walks that led to the Friars extending the lead.

In other news, Juan Soto told reporters he believes that Fernando Tatis Jr., who has had a dominant season from the plate, should be an All-Star while an MLB insider delivered the scary news that San Diego is (allegedly) 'expected' to shop Blake Snell and Josh Hader at the trade deadline.
