The Padres make a statement with their series win over the Rays.

Fernando Tatis Jr. slung a bullet to home from right field and Austin Nola tagged a diving Manuel Margot to prevent a game-tying run in the eight inning. 

This fantastic play — by both Tatis Jr. and Nola — secured the Padres' first home series victory all season, against one of the best teams in baseball. The Padres held on to a win despite Bob Melvin getting thrown out of the game after arguing a missed strike that even the batter knew was a poor call.
